My Big Video Game Outsiders Debut

This was the week that your humble host of The BeanCast Marketing Podcast, became the somewhat boisterous guest-host of Video Game Outsiders. And what a blast it was!

If you didn't see my many Tweets, posts on Facebook and general shouting from the mountain tops, I'd love for you to check out the show here. It was a lot of fun. As you all should know by now, I love the video game industry on both a personal and professional level. And this appearance gave me a chance to talk about it all in a fun venue.

So why me? Well, I've been a listener of their show for going on three years now and an active participant in their forums since the beginning. In fact, I pretty much launched my show here with a post there. And they were kind enough not to kick me off the boards for doing it. I even had John Jacobsen, one of the hosts, on my show to discuss video game marketing back in October of 2008.

Given all this, when another host, Kyle Jones, found himself with new responsibilities at work, John and the third host, Michelle Madison, thought of me as a suitable guest-host replacement. While it's far from an every-week thing, you can expect me to be filling in from time to time over the next few months. I'll try to fill you in when the dates come up.
